Painted By U caters to burgeoning artists and crafters of all ages in a studio that invites visitors to create fused glass works, paint ceramic bisques, or color blank canvases. After choosing their piece from a selection of more than 300 ceramic forms, walk-in artists can elect colors from a rainbow of glazes with which to paint mugs, tiles, and pieces of Atlantis. Meanwhile, a glittering array of glass pieces awaits selection as experts help artists fuse and slump their assemblages into vibrant silica masterpieces. The studio's collection of idea books, stencils, and stamps kindle artistic inspiration, while studio assistants lend tips and tricks to creators hard at work. Party-planners can rent out an activity room that accommodates up to 18 guests to forge art-filled birthdays, bridal showers, or ladies' nights.

My husband wanted to do something special for me, so we brought the kids in and I went shopping while he & the children worked on their project. Being that this was the first time my husband had ever done this type of thing, I repeatedly asked the girl to help him with their prints, etc. and she assured me that she would. When I came back to pick up my husband, he told me that he received no help what so ever! Even when he asked he did not get help, which is unexceptable. The girl working that day decided to work on her own "personal" project instead of being a helpful employee. I have been to a store like this in Homewood and it is a night and day difference. There I received so much help that I left with a big smile on my face, so you can imagine me disappointment when learning this news. I would not recommend anyone that needs help to go this place of business.
