Spirit of Health
River Spirit Golf Club, host to Canadian Junior Golf Association tournaments and the 2007 CN Canadian Women's Tour, challenges players with three nine-hole courses sprawling across varied prairie terrain affording panoramic views of the Elbow Valley below. Before teeing off, players can prep for the greens with a helpful swing analysis (a $39 value), which uses a motion-sensitive camera and a fast-moving portrait artist to capture each golfer's club-swinging form. Golf Academy instructors then provide an assessment of each client's technique and offer tips for refining it. Armed with this instruction, golfers set out for an 18-hole round on two nine-hole courses (up to an $88 value). The original Spirit Nine lets players launch dimpled orbs down tree-lined fairways of prairie-valley turf, and the Millburn Nine presents an idyllic scene with a wandering creek, natural wetlands, and staff-wielding shepherdesses.
