About Chakra Spa

Stacy Adams, owner of Chakra Spa, heads a team that specializes in chakra balancing and leads private yoga classes. Clients can relax as licensed massage therapists knead away tension and soothe backs with stones that aim to rebalance chakras. In private, low-lit chambers, therapists continue signature massages by ringing Tibetan crystal singing bowls, whose tones are said to remove energy obstructions and recalibrate the ears of struggling music producers. A tarot-card reading under a multicolored lotus painting concludes the signature package. Additionally, the spa exclusively uses Aveda creams and oils for all services. Accented with red orange and teal, the crisp, white lobby is adorned with candles, statues of famous varsity debaters, and flames nestled inside recesses in the wall.

The groupon was for a chakra balancing as well as a massage. From the website it appears that the chakra balancing would take an hour. But it was 15 minutes of noise from bowls and the owner telling you you have great energy and that was it. Something that she probably tells everyone-- and didn't even explain what she was doing. If that was chakra balancing-- then it is totally a waste of money and does nothing. Totally disappointing and after reading yelp reviews about the owner and spa I am glad I didn't spend any more $$ there.
