Pump it Up - Cincinnati, West Chester

My kids LOVE Pump It Up!!

I had a very unpleasant experience with Pump it up. The first Thursday we (my children, my friend and her child) tried to attend they were having a fund raiser night and we were not allowed to use our groupon. We checked our calendars and ensured that the coming Thursday was an open play night. They informed us that it was a pizza and play night and we would HAVE to pay more on top of our groupon to participate. When we inquired about the adults buying pizza we were told we could and she made a point to tell us that they ordered pizza from an upscale pizza place, and that the adults would enjoy it. When we arrived we were not given clear instruction on how the night would play out. Once I found a staff member in the jump room and asked where we could find the pizza assuming we were allowed to eat when we arrived seeing how it was from 5:30-7:30. I was informed that play time was divided between two rooms and pizza would not be served until 7pm and ONLY people who paid for it would get any. Even though we were told we didn't have a choice to pay for it for our kids. At 7pm when we were guided to the eating room. The two staff members were very confusing about where to sit if we were eating pizza. changing the location after we had already followed there first instructions. Then we were all given one slice of cheese only, not good looking pizza. When I asked if the adults were to be only given one slice they told me they start everybody off with one and if we wanted another we could have it. When I asked for the second slice they told me there was only one piece left so no one could have one. While they were handing out the pizza they were still confused about who should get one. When we asked to speak to a manager, they told us we could talk to the women at the front desk. The women my friend talked to never apologized and said the staff must have given pizza to those who should not have been given it and she was trying to order more pizza, this was now close to 7:30pm. We were fed up with the un-professionalism and hungry we left to go spend more money on dinner. I will never return and the other groupons I had will go in the trash to spare anyone else from the frustration of attending.

Terrible "open play" schedule. If you don't care about the traffic you get for open play sessions, DON'T PUT OUT A GROUPON TO ATTRACT BUSINESS!!! Due to our poor experience at your business, not only will we not recomend your establishment to anyone, I will be sharing my feedback from our poor experience with my business, school, and friend communities. I find it unacceptable for a MANAGER to tell a customer that they don't care about scheduling open play because that's not how they make their money. Please do not sell me a Groupon that I can not use due to the fact that your business doesn't make enough money from my purchase. You can now consider my purchase part of your advertisement budget, because I will be sure to give my feedback to any mother, father or grandparent I come into contact with. We went to your business with the idea that we would check it out to decided if we wanted to have my daughter's birthday party at your business. Due to our experience we will NEVER host a birthday at your business. Please ask the manager to reconsider her stance on the importance of all the different options, including open play, that your business has to offer. You have just lost our business and earned the negative feedback.
