Kula Yoga, Port Orange

My biggest disappointment was that the coupon expiration date meant all 10 classes had to be finished before that date, not started. I'm not sure the groupon actually stated that, and since I had major family medical problems I had no time to do all 10 classes but figured I could at least get stared by the deadline date and finish up gradually. Evidently another woman was under the same impression because as I was leaving after my 2nd class, she had her groupon and asked at the desk if she could start now (the day before the expiration) and continue, and they said "no, all classes have to be finished by the expiration date"...disappointing

What I didn't like about it was that the instructor played soft rock/folk (with vocals) music during the session and I was distracted by it. I feel that type of music underminds the "mindfulness" of a yoga session. There were a few votive candles placed around the floor, but none were lit. It would have been nice to have them lit and had "dream-like" New Age music playing. No complaint about the instructor, just she could have set a better yoga "scene". Guess I'm used to a more relaxing and spiritual atmosphere in a yoga class.

I love this yoga studio. The instructors are the best. Their music is hip which creates a good vibe in the overall atmosphere. I will be back for many more classes. Groupon turned me on to a great yoga studio.
