When Chelsea Kaldahl—the brains and nimble fingers behind Dasra Mantra—decided to start a career as a massage therapist, she didn't limit herself to a single modality, knowing that different clients would require different techniques. Her approach to learning now pays dividends in her work, as her expertise ranges from the flowing strokes of Swedish massage to the rhythmic thumbing and applied yoga postures of Thai massage. She uses therapeutic-grade essential oils during aromatherapy massages, which can assist in breathing, promote better moods, and increase circulation faster than a magazine giving away a spaceship with each new subscription. She also performs Reiki, during which she uses her hands in an effort to unlock the body's innate healing abilities.
