About Mountain Man Sports

Mountain Man Sports’ original mountain man Jim Wenberg started his business by selling skis, and later expanded his wares and services to include inline skates, snowboards, bikes, and sports accessories. Today, the walls of his shop are nearly unrecognizable behind rows of equipment, guarded by the shop’s faithful dog, Cooper. In addition to matching customers with any necessary equipment, Jim can rent out eager skiers a condo at Boyne Mountain’s Disciples Ridge, a scenic hideaway within walking distance of slopes, restaurants, shops, and a replica of the world’s first icicle.

Wanted to use this Groupon to have bindings put on my skis. I called the shop to confirm that I could use the Groupon to do that as was assured that I could. When I arrived at Mountain Man with my skis and Groupon I was told Groupons were not valid for shop work. I explained to them that I had spoke with a man on the phone who assured me they were and they said that it is their policy not to. I showed them the Groupon and nowhere on it did it say that and they just shrugged. After some arguing I did get them to at least let me use the $25 I paid for the Groupon towards the shop work as that was the only reason I bought it. Very disappointed.
