Much like robots, children, and robotic children, bikes need to be regularly recalibrated to keep them from developing human emotions. Keep your bike performing at its functional, unfeeling best with today's Groupon: for $30, you get a bike tune-up at either of Cycle Works locations (a $60 value). During tune-ups, skilled techs perform the following:

  • True wheels
  • Adjust bearings
  • Adjust brakes
  • Adjust gears
  • Lube chain and cables
  • Clean frame
  • Test-ride bike

The certified bike technicians at Cycle Works know how to repair and maintain two-wheelers of all makes and models. Commencing comprehensive tune-ups, a wheel guru lubricates chains and cables, then scares brakes and gears into shape with threats of being placed with a foster family of recumbents. A bearings adjustment calibrates the bottom bracket, headset, and wheel hubs to assure fluid range of motion. Spokes are also adjusted to the proper tension and wheels are deftly trued. Before bicycles excitedly pedal back to their owners, skilled fingers clean behind their frames' ears and perform test-runs around the block to double-check functionality.

Cycle Works

From the humble beginnings of a five-bike shop in 1981, Cycle Works has since expanded and now showcases thousands of bikes and accessories lining the floors and walls. At Cycle Works, certified bike mechanics maintain smooth-riding bikes with tune-ups and customize new bikes to suit both cyclist and terrain. Once a two-wheeler has been selected, technicians measure bike and rider, and make necessary adjustments to the bike to assure a correct and comfortable fit. Before making final decisions, they let the customer take the bike out for a malted shake and a test-drive to assure compatibility. They also guarantee each sale with lifetime brake and derailleur adjustments at no cost to the original owner.
