Choose Between Two Options

  • $19 for a formal wine tasting for two (a $46 value)
  • $35 for a formal wine tasting for four (a $92 value)

After you learn about the winery's history and winemaking process during a wine-cellar tour, an experienced wine guide offers insights into the characteristics of eight pre-selected wines, including dry, sweet, semi-sweet, red, white, and rose varieties. Light refreshments are served during tastings, such as an assortment of artesian breads and specialty crackers. Following the tour, guests may sample additional wines in the winery's public tasting room, including specialty fruit and port-style dessert wines. Each attendee receives a souvenir wineglass and a $5 voucher toward any of the winery's 2013 events, including murder-mystery dinners or yoga in the vineyard. See a complete schedule of upcoming Saturday tastings for Groupon holders, each of which begin at noon, 1:30 p.m., 3 p.m., or 4:30 p.m.

Four Sisters Winery

Cabernet sauvignon, pinot noir, zinfandel, and merlot—these classic European varieties will never emerge from the vineyards of Four Sisters Winery. Since 1984, winemaker Matty Matarazzo has only used grapes that can survive the bitter winters on his 250-acre farm in Warren County. He has won more than 100 regional, national, and international awards for his lineup of more than 25 wine varieties, which includes a sweet red made with concord grapes and a crispy, fruity wine made with several types of late harvest apple.

Four Sisters' staffers grant guests a glimpse of Matty's winemaking process during behind-the-scenes tours, as well as allow them to sample selections during onsite wine tastings. Freshly made light eats from a seasonal bakery can be enjoyed on a outdoor deck, under a tent overlooking the vineyards, or at a picnic table on the grounds. Throughout the year, the winery hosts numerous events, including a Mother's Day buffet, a Father's Day pig roast, and grape-stomping parties spearheaded by disenfranchised raisins.

The Groupon Guide to: Typing Techniques

In grade schools, children are taught one way to type on a computer keyboard—with their hands and not at all with their tiny, perfectly suited for typing toes. Here are some other typing techniques not taught in America's learning rooms:

Hunt and Peck: One of the slower typing methods, it involves the typist "hunting" for each letter individually and then "pecking" the letter with a long cane.

Touch Typing: The same as the standard typing technique, but instead of touching the keyboard, let the keyboard touch you.

Fast Fingers: Standard typing technique, but a little bit faster.

Fancy Fingers: Pretty much the same as "fast fingers," but a little bit slower, and your fingers dance upon the keys like a dainty woman’s feet upon a wet dance floor.

No Fingers: Just throw a rock at the keyboard until you hit the key you want. If you end up breaking the keyboard, buy a new one and start over with a smaller rock.

I'm so proud of my son. He learned how to type with a cane.
