Front Porch Cafe

Miami locals stroll toward Front Porch Cafe after a day at the beach, shaking sand from their gold-strap sandals and readjusting the colorful sarongs around their waists. They sidestep groups of tourists making their way down Ocean Drive, intent on securing a coveted seat beneath the bright blue umbrellas on the sunny sidewalk patio. Once seated, diners relax, chattering animatedly over cups of coffee and plates of spicy Cajun scrambles, cheesy omelets, and the freshly baked french toast lauded by reporters from Miami New Times as “warm, doughy and delicious.” Cocktails begin to flow as the hour grows late, and pancakes are replaced with juicy burgers and seafood small plates. Once plates are mopped clean, diners recline on their chairs and gaze out at the Atlantic Ocean, or watch guests rolling luggage and caged orangutans into the elegant Z Hotel.

The mastermind behind these hearty brunch dishes and upscale small plates is chef Todd Webster. It's Todd who keeps the restaurant's kitchen stocked with fresh local seafood, locally farmed produce, and responsibly farmed meats. Todd folds these ingredients into a menu of fine comfort food, infusing pan-American classics with contemporary twists and international influences.
