- $39 for a one-hour one-on-one knitting lesson and $20 worth of supplies (an $80 value)
Using luxury fibers, students learn how to complete a project they can work on at home after class and wear. Lessons are held at one of three locations; students can coordinate with the instructor, Laura, on which works best.
In 1987, Laura Eackloff, recent podiatry school graduate, took her first knitting class. In 1998, she sold her podiatry practice and opened Gotta Knit!, a knitting center in which she teaches classes along with her partner, Goldie Axelrod. Both experienced in the medical field, their nurturing natures serve their students well, as they support them in learning to craft garments and accessories from yarn. Each year Goldie and Laura fly to knitwear shows in Italy to keep up with the latest trends in shape, color, and style. Once home, they write patterns on request for on-trend garments that fit the customer's body and knitting ability.
