$6 for $12 Worth of Breakfast and Lunch
Every day from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., as diners enjoy cups of hot coffee, the chefs at Jimmy’s Egg fold more than 100 fresh ingredients into three-egg omelettes, customized to each customer’s specifications ($5.79+). The Santa Cruz breakfast sandwich ($6.99) is a morning favorite, tucking scrambled eggs, smoked turkey, swiss cheese, and avocado into a ciabatta bun. Short stacks of whole-wheat pancakes ($3.79) and sweet-potato pancakes ($4.79) represent heart-healthy counterparts to the popular Garbage Breakfast ($6.49), a plate of crispy hash browns topped with grilled onions, bell peppers, sausage, and two cooked-to-order eggs, served with a choice of bread.
The new Smothered Burger ($6.79) stands out in the afternoon, topping a juicy patty with grilled onions, mushrooms, melted swiss, and brown gravy. The smoked turkey melt ($6.99) comes loaded with bacon, tomatoes, and both american and swiss cheeses, served on homemade white bread.
Jimmy's Egg has been making mornings delicious since 1980, when the first location, just a modest 50-seat restaurant, opened its doors in Oklahoma City. Today, Jimmy’s Egg slings breakfast and lunch to diners across four states, and the company continues to expand its reach. Jason Prout, operating partner in Tulsa, hints at the secret to Jimmy’s Egg’s success, saying, “Our eggs are always cracked to order and cups of coffee are always hot and never left empty.”
But the menu features far more than basic eggs and coffee. Offerings include eggs benedict, banana-pecan pancakes, belgian waffles, fresh salads, loaded burgers, and luncheon items such as chicken-fried steak.
