Each treatment begins with a skin analysis that allows the aesthetician to become familiar with your skin's texture and type. Afterward, the aesthetician performs a mechanical exfoliation (microdermabrasion) to slough away dead superficial cells on the face, neck, and décolleté. To calm the newly exposed tissues, the aesthetician moisturizes skin and protects it with a layer of sunscreen. A single, first-time microdermabrasion appointment takes about 90 minutes. Subsequent treatments take about 45–60 minutes. Extractions and product upgrades are available with this deal for an additional $7 per add-on.
