An impressive array of models, fashionistas, and celebrities have sat in Lauren Lavelle’s styling chair, from actress Kim Basinger to fashion editor Mary Clarke. Her glamorous updos can be spotted gracing the glossy pages of Modern Bride, Bazaar, and Hamptons, as well as floating down the runways at Tommy Hilfiger and Hugo Boss fashion shows. On an average day, though, Lauren brings her innovative styling sense and years of fashion-world experience to her own studio—Lauren Lavelle Salon.

Amid pristine white walls and sleek white styling chairs, Lauren and her staff snip hair, arrange updos, and add luxurious extensions. Seasoned specialist Bill Kovalcik captains the hair-coloring department, drawing from years of expertise gained working in top New York salons to create what he describes as “wearable, functional, and fashionable tresses with a natural radiance.” Meanwhile, designer makeup artist Lisa Lavelle oversees makeup application, determining feature-enhancing colors and sharing techniques with clients so they're able to recreate looks on themselves, friends, or napping passengers on the bus.
