First-time paragliders only need 30 minutes of ground school before taking a running jump from a bunny hill and hitching a ride on the wind. Over roughly two hours, each participant will take at least two flights, which might reach heights of 30 feet or dip low to just a few feet off the ground. High-definition video and photographs are included in the price.

Paragliding locations are dependent on wind factors and vary day-by-day. Thrill-seekers are notified the night before their class via email. Each hill is located no more than a 30 minute drive from downtown. Click here for more information.

Pittsburgh Paragliding

With nothing but their legs, a launch pad, and a little wind, paragliders achieve mankind's ancient dream of flight without the help of motors or fancypants pilots. A dedicated revolutionary against the tyranny of gravity, paragliding instructor Jon Potter invites one and all to join him atop the hills of Pittsburgh for a flying lesson that can be tailored for students of any experience level. Potter gladly hurls himself from virtually any flyable hill in and around the city. Beginners start by taking wing from bunny hills, and more advanced gliders tackle the more challenging courses.
