Coaches and teams of 25 participants meet weekly for four to five months to prepare for full and 1/2 marathons benefiting cancer, leukemia, and lymphoma research. Team in Training also pays for flights and hotels to the marathon, as well as providing fundraising support. Marathons include the Rock 'n' Roll San Antonio Marathon & 1/2 Marathon benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure on November 11, Nike Women’s Marathon & 1/2 Marathon, A Race to Benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in San Francisco on October 14, and the Kerrville Triathlon on September 30.
