The West End

A traditional English pub is usually a warm, neighborly spot for a bite and a pint. Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange, on the other hand, is a cold, disturbing look into the world of overly theatrical eye makeup. Nonetheless, The West End's decor draws inspiration from both, blending classic pub elements, such as steer horns sitting atop an old piano, with modern Kubrickian flourishes, such as a row of bowler hats dangling ominously from hooks on the wall.

Like the pub itself, The West End's menu revolves around British classics such as wild-boar bangers ‘n’ mash and a shepherd's pie chock full of braised beef and field peas. The Texas Big Dog, meanwhile, pays homage to the bar's American location with a three-quarter-pound frank crowned with chili and pickled relish. Filling more than 50 taps, The West End's craft-beer selection tows the same cultural divide with both European and American brews. Bartenders can also supply classic cocktails, martinis, and beer-blended drinks, such as the fusion of lager, Coke, and amaretto that results in the Alcoholic Dr. Pepper. Guests can enjoy these expertly crafted libations and bar bites inside or on the expansive outdoor patio, which can accommodate up to 400 guests.
