Toscana Cafe

For chef Daniele Catalani, there’s nothing political about food. The Tuscany-born chef delights political bigwigs and locals alike with a menu composed of highly seasonal, homestyle Italian food. Catalani earned his culinary bona fides working in restaurants throughout Europe, and he made his way up to the exclusive chef position at Galileo by the age of 23. He also appeared on Iron Chef America in 2003 during the battle of Donna vs. Morimoto, where he assisted in spatula-to-spatula combat. Today, he fills Toscana Cafe's menu with classic entrees such as gnocchi with basil pesto or ravioli with roasted eggplant and goat cheese.

The Groupon Guide to: Lunchboxes

Carrying lunch in a box is as handy now as it ever was. Here are some of the most popular designs adorning kids' lunchboxes this season:

  • Image of the toilet-paper bear visiting the laundry-detergent bear in the hospital

  • Sticker reading "My other lunchbox is a wet paper sack that broke open when I was running for the bus."

  • Photo of mom spreading jelly on one slice of bread and dad spreading peanut butter on the other (pre trial separation)

  • Hand-drawn Pikachu or a Furby or a Tamagotchi or maybe that’s a Spongepant?

  • Graphic stating "I voted (for a sandwich, an apple, chips, and a pudding)!"

  • Just an indentation in the shape of a fist

If you get really mad, is it OK to punch your lunch?
