About Tre Stelle
The craziest notions are often hatched over late-night drinks. Most of the time, these ambitious schemes rarely live to see the light of day. But for medical student Gianroberto Cavagnaro and his drinking buddies, one such crazy idea became a reality after a whirlwind trip to New York made all the more blurry by numerous drinks. When they got back to Italy, they realized that they had actually opened an upscale Italian restaurant, Tre Stelle, in the United States—something they had dreamt of for a long time but never quite found the courage to do so until that fateful trip.
Tre Stelle's menu focuses on the food the owners enjoyed in their native country—cured meats and cheeses, pasta and gnocchi with fresh vegetables, tender veal, and decadent desserts with Nutella. Imported beers and Italian wines, including one of Italy's most famous, Amarone, pair with the simple, refined food.
Inside the restaurant, the dining room exudes a sophistication that brings to mind the Rat Pack's heyday. Mod-style dome lights glow warmly above tables surrounded by comfy vinyl chairs. The restaurant also hosts a weekly happy hour.
