Harnessing the power of the wind is an essential skill for showy weathervanes, wind chime musicians, and weathermen looking to compile killer blooper reels. Capture gusting hilarity with today's Groupon at YK Kiteboarding & SUP. Choose between the following options:

  • For $120, you get a one-person three-hour semiprivate kiteboarding lesson (a $240 value).
  • For $240, you get a two-person three-hour kiteboarding lesson (a $480 value).

Depending on weather conditions, your dance with the breeze begins in either the pale sands of New Road Sailing Launch at Dewey Beach, Point Comfort in Lewes, or amid the stately trees of Assateague Island in Berlin, Maryland. On the placid waters of one of these shoreline utopias, a YK Kiteboarding IKO-certified instructor teaches students how to navigate wobbly waves on a surfboard pulled by a large, wind-propelled kite. The blustery tutorial aims to instill and improve gale-wrangling skills such as upwind riding, jumping, and lassoing cows caught in tornadoes. Sessions are custom-tailored to suit each student's skill level, and all kiteboarding and safety equipment is provided, except proper foot-protection, which should be brought for the water portion of the lesson.

They are friendly, organized, and they really care about their students' progress.
