Inspired by how massage helped her mother after a stroke, Tender Embrace Spa and Clinic's Elise Procell combines techniques from four modalities to address her clients' individual needs. Swedish massage mollifies tense muscles and increases circulation, and sports techniques prepare bodies for, or heal bodies after, athletic endeavors such as football games or lion-wrestling matches. Trigger point's pressure-and-release cycles unravel painful knots, and neuromuscular's concentrated massage focuses on the ligaments, connective tissue, and tendons of one specific body part. After the 60-minute massage, clients enjoy extra pampering with a mud mask to smooth the skin and a salt or sugar scrub to exfoliate the feet.
Dynamic Body's Haven Richardson tailors custom massages from eight modalities to untangle knotted musculature. The smooth, flowing strokes of a stress-reduction massage are ideal for massage novices, and smooth, hot stones can form soothing zen gardens around the spine. For backs that need to address specific problems, craniosacral therapy activates bodily healing at pain's source along the spinal column, whereas deep-tissue methods delve deeply into muscles to root out problematic knots and french braids. Spines that prefer to remain vertical can imbibe an upright chair massage. The pregnancy massage properly positions and soothes expectant mothers to prepare them for the stressful demands of coaching baby races.
Angie's Massage & Wellness's skin-savvy staff of certified therapists relaxes and refurbishes organ homes within a quaint countryside setting. The exfoliation wrap ushers away deadweight dermal layers with a sugar or salt scrub, then envelops fresh surfaces in a clay mud cloak of the recipient's choosing, including the popular Fango mud, while muscle menders massage clients' heads and feet. Those with skin that's smoother and more radiant than a freshly shaved lighthouse can opt for a one-hour swedish or neuromuscular massage. Under the care of doting dermal kneaders, tension from daily pressures will melt away, leaving bodies relaxed and functioning more efficiently. Both of today's options include a 30-minute infrared sauna treatment, a dry sauna session designed to burn up to 600 calories while eliminating toxins from the body, alleviating muscle aches, and roundhouse-kicking stress in the face.

What’s your favorite part about your job?
The portion of my job as a Nail Specialist that I love the most is the transformation I can see in the health of my clients' nails and skin. Our hands and feet take quite a bit of abuse and we don't always have the patience to take care of them on our own. I really love to see clients who start out self-conscious of their hands and feet leave feeling confident about their well-groomed nails.
What is one fun, unusual fact about your business?
We have our liquor license so that we can treat you to a complimentary beer or glass of wine while you enjoy your relaxing service. We also use all-natural locally made aromatherapy scrubs and soaks for our pedicures.
What is the best reaction you’ve ever gotten from a client?
The best reaction is how relaxed and pampered my clients say they feel after a service. My pedicures receive the most compliments. People really appreciate the time and attention I pay to them during their visit.
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
At Alchemy we don't see you, our client, just as a customer. We see you as a friend. We pride ourselves on taking the time to get to know you and your lifestyle so that we can tailor your services specifically for what you do every day.
