“This is not a gym,” Kelly Barbera told Southern Exposure Magazine in 2010. “This is a boutique-style studio where everybody knows everybody.” Kelly, a former acrobat, and her husband, Joey—a former wrestler and magician who, with the help of his twin brother, performed a successful disappearing act in Las Vegas—run Temple Fitness. In their cozy orange-and-highlighter-green space bedecked with inspirational quotes, the two line the walls with everything comprehensive fitness programs need, from kettlebells to a room dedicated to TRX equipment. The studio wears many hats, with the two designing an assorted handful of fitness and health modalities: women's-only FEM Method classes, personal training, CrossFit, men's strength camp, and nutritional planning.
Together, they push exercisers through routines characterized by an abundance of positive feedback and motivation, a hallmark of their gym. Periodically, the two open the facility to host Able Youth nonprofit boot camp for kids confined to wheelchairs.
Across The Crag’s 6,500 square foot indoor climbing surface, more than 65 routes and 50 bouldering problems direct climbers of all skill levels up to the facility’s lofty ceiling. On the padded floor below, a team of experienced climbing instructors draw from a variety of backgrounds to oversee the action while sharing their passion for climbing.
Fitness Together pairs up personal trainers with goal-oriented clients. Customized workout plans help them reach such fitness milestones as benching a certain amount of weight, running a marathon, or crab-walking a 5K. Sessions combines resistance and cardio training with nutritional advice.

The experienced instructors at Hot Yoga Plus see yoga as a vehicle for healing, peace, and mindfulness for their students. They also understand that people do yoga for all manner of reasons, be it to lose weight, tone the body, or improve flexibility. And so while hot yoga is naturally the specialty here, the studio embraces yoga of every style and temperature. In hot yoga, the muscles can stretch further, and it’s possible to sweat out toxins; instructors can also offer precise adjustments for more advanced students. You can also join a Vinyasa flow class, a less intensive course that helps improve balance and one’s heart rate in a less kiln-like environment.
