What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
CSY offers a number of speciality classes. These include: yoga for stress relief, yoga for arthritis, yoga for back problems, yoga for diabetes\, yoga for asthma, yoga for allergies, and yoga for children with study and concentration problems.
Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged?
CSY puts an emphasis on each and every pose as a combination of breath, focus, and attention. In short, each pose is a form of mediation in itself. In a 90-minute class you are fully devoted to your practice.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Being introduced to yoga at the young age of 12 in India and after spending more than 40 years practicing. It is my love towards yoga and spirituality, along with the desire to spread the good word and make this world a better place to live in.
What do you love most about your job?
Practicing yoga and teaching it to others gives me immense satisfaction.
Green Planet Kids, tucked away in the independent shopping mecca of Newton Highlands, brings an old-fashioned sensibility to eco-friendly toys and nontoxic art supplies. Sunlight spills across the two-story confines, where personable service collides with fun, educational toys and hands-on art classes. Under the supervision of professional instructors, youngsters create a flurry of art projects in the form of paper-bead jewelry, watercolor paintings, and tissue-paper flowers, which are ideal for attracting tissue-paper hummingbirds.
Gstarfit founder Gregg D?Andrea strives to ensure that no client at his spin-focused fitness center ever gets bored. His core goal is to maximize the relationship between brain and body, always pushing, challenging, and making himself solve riddles while doing chin-ups. The classes at Gstarfit range from classic yet challenging indoor cycling to fat-busting boot-camp routines designed to burn calories and tone the physique.
The noises and stressors of the day melt away as students find peace and quiet inside H.Y.P. Studio’s intimate workout areas. Small groups of no more than five participants gather for Pilates classes that use specialized equipment to build lithe muscles and abdominal strength. BarSculpt classes incorporate mats, weights, bands, and ballet barres to create a low-impact workout that targets fat in common problem areas along the legs, arms, and torso. Inside the yoga studios, a custom-designed heating system maintains an ideal balance of heat, humidity, and fresh oxygen, and the floors are constructed out of an antimicrobial material that prevents germs and charkas from getting trapped under the surface. Classes are held from as early as 5:45 a.m. to as late as 7.45 p.m., and students can use private shower and changing areas to get ready before and after sessions.
The Studio Empower forgoes free weights, treadmills, and any fitness equipment that originated before 2013. Instead, the hardwood-floored studio is the first location ever to be outfitted with Megaformer M3s, the latest model in the Megaformer family, just released January of 2013. Designed by LA celebrity trainer and fitness guru, Sebastian Lagree of the Lagree method, the Megaformer M3 constitutes a fresh take on the classic Pilates reformer; its system of springs create resistance through core, upper, and lower body for exercises that tone, enhance posture, and burn calories without stressing joints. During each workout, every muscle group is worked until fatigued, before moving onto the next, in order to increase effectiveness.
Like the Megaformer M3 itself, the studio?s 45-minute workouts draw inspiration from Pilates. However, in accordance with the Lagree method, they fuse Pilates? core-strengthening moves with cardio and strength training, creating a comprehensive, full-body workout on par with riding a bicycle made of dumbbells.
