Growing up, Sean Michael Casey nourished his passion for photography by snapping shots for his high school's yearbook and weekly newsletter. A hobbyist for years, Sean Michael was finally able to showcase his skills by taking wedding photos for a friend of a friend. These nuptial photos served as his calling card, and generated a lot of interest from potential clients. Seeing an opportunity to pursue his lifelong passion as a career, Sean Michael decided to up his credentials with a bachelor's degree in photography from Florida Atlantic University.
For more than 10 years, Sean Michael has artistically captured memories, armed with his keen eye and an arsenal of Nikon bodies and lenses. He's worked with a wide assortment of clients, covering shoots ranging from wholesome family portraits to destination weddings in Costa Rica. Though Sean Michael is able to carefully plan out portraits, he also enjoys just letting things happen and capturing candid shots of his subjects’ laughter, smiles, and maniacal laughter sans smile.
Veteran shuttersmith Julie Hughes and her husband Peter use their keen eyes and artistic sensibilities to turn precious moments into family heirlooms. During the 30-minute photo shoot, families and friends pose in the controlled environment of a studio, where they hoist props before skillfully arranged lights and backgrounds. Models also have the right to rotate through one wardrobe change or evolutionary mutation. Clients then make an appointment to select one 8”x10” print and two 5”x7” prints of a different pose. Clients pick their favorite single image to print on 25 holiday cards that can be mailed to 25 different friends or 1 friend with 25 mantles.

That method and her vibrant, cheery pictures, combine for memorable images that last lifetimes. She brings the same approach to portrait sessions for families and couples, creating a fun and stress-free atmosphere at all photo shoots.

Nicole Bergstrom is as artistic with babies as she is with tiramisu—although she rarely photographs them together. A former food stylist, Nicole and her husband Allan founded Kinder Image in 1994, and since then have captured the likenesses of 1000s of newborn babies. The shuttersmith specializes in studio sets as well as onsite photography, snapping timeless images as families and children frolic in parks, on the beach, or in their own homes in front of one of Kinder Images' 20 backdrops. Unique specialty packages can follow expectant mothers through each month of their pregnancies or revisit newborns throughout their first year, documenting the ways they grow and change from tiny cherubs to ringleaders of their local stroller gang. After each session, clients can pick their favorite edited shots during a personal viewing session, which Kinder Image prints in sizes ranging from desktop pictures to sprawling canvas wraps and wall art.
