Moving days were probably much more interesting when the first generation of
Backdahl's Movers founded their business in 1901. But in the more than a century that has passed since then, the family has learned a thing or to about ensuring a smooth transition from one house to the next. The workers begin to prep for the move a few days in advance, assessing client needs for packing tools such as tape, boxes, and bubble wrap, and delivering the necessary items so that everything will be ready to load on moving day. Of course, they can also tailor their services to move a single, heavy item such as a hot tub or piano to another part of the house or dangle it over the sidewalk until that pesky roadrunner happens by.
