Please don't ignoring your customers and pay closer attention to your staffing issues. We are not the only ones who had a problem. You will lose business.( or don't you care?)

Yeah, don't go there hungry. Took forever for someone to even come over to our table to acknowledge that we were even there(approximately 20-25 minutes) and we even "told" someone that we were waiting. They didn't seem to care. The waiter "finally" came over and apologized but, the service didn't get much better, even after that. Partial appetizers coming out, beverage took a long time and when the food finally came out, it wasn't hot. We usually have patience and understanding, but this was just aweful. The other couple that was sitting with us told us that they had read some reviews and "heard" that they've had these issues previously, but disregarded them. Well,no more.

Fried fish was ok-but I have been their three times-the steak was terrible-could not chew-the lobster cut in half was dried out-some staff friendly/others are not. The last time I had a groupon that was one day late because I read it wrong-the waitress brought it to the front and held it all through dinner-she then came and told us- AFTER-it exspired yesterday and her boss said he would give us only half off-they knew this-and NEVER said a word until check time--well what you pay for the croupon Never exspires-so he gave us nothing-we owned a restaurant before-and if he wanted to make a good impression and VALUED his customers -he could have honored it-seeming it was not even 24 hours

See comments above, nothing special about food or service that makes me want to go back anytime soon.

Very disappointed in this restaurant. I expected more of a "pirate" theme after visiting their website, and was looking forward to a fun atmosphere. Decor was a hodge podge of nautical images and sailboat frosted dividers. We visited on a Sunday evening. The menu didn't match what was found on the website. Our bread was obviously an older frozen loaf as it was all dried out. The salad was minimal, mostly iceberg lettuce. My entree of prime rib was very tasty but appeared an odd greyish color when it was served. The meal was mediocre at best and the wait staff not very attentive. It was a 36 mile trip to visit and I'd hesitate to go back.

From Our Editors

As a child in Greece, Tony Rizos would watch his father set out in a tiny boat to catch fish for the family. The image clung to Tony throughout his youth and into his adulthood, eventually inspiring him to open a restaurant in its honor. The façade of Kaptain Jimmy’s bears the image of Tony’s father at age 20, reimagined in pirate gear. Inside the large eatery, tables populate with fruits of the sea, such as steamed lobster and pan-seared scallops, as well as harvests from land and sky, including prime rib and "parrot" wings. Each meal comes with a splash of entertainment, as servers saunter up to tables dressed to the nines in red and black garments, bandanas, and flashy rings and earrings.

The Opa Tap Bar is fashioned to look like the side of a giant ship, with three faux masts supporting the tap handles for more than 60 brews. If beer is not a diner's choice of beverage, an onsite microdistillery—a passion project of Tony’s—cooks up more spirits than A Christmas Carol, including whiskey, vodka, gin, rum, and ouzo.
