"Hot-air-balloon pilot" doesn't really do Art Möller justice as a job title. Sure he captains private and semi-private trips above the Rio Grande River Valley, but over the past decade he's also helped people cross items off their bucket lists, plan engagements, and overcome their fear of heights. And sometimes he even lets them jump out of the basket mid-air—certified skydivers can hitch a ride with Art for jumps at up to 6,000 feet.

It was such a fun experience! The departure was smooth, and the landing—though unexpected-was definitely exciting! We actually landed in someone’s driveway and hit their trash can. Still, the crew handled everything well, and we all landed safely. I was hoping to catch the sunrise 🌄 while in the air, but the sun was already high up. So I’d say—don’t expect a sunrise, just enjoy the ride.

I found this company on Groupon. It was a great experience and cost less than many of the other balloon rides in the area. They were very hands on letting people help in ways that were safe and knowledgeable giving us information about the area as well as about ballooning. We had a great flight and landing. It was a wonderful experience. You do have to climb into and out of the gondola, using foot spots on the bucket. It took us a little longer to pack up after but still made it back to meeting space for a champagne toast.
