About Casa Rondena

John Calvin imagined Casa Rondeña as not just a winery but a cultural hub, a "center of gravity for the arts," as the winery puts it. But the wine itself, started with the first vine plantings in 1990, is plenty to bring folks in. Step into its tasting room, opened in 1997, and test vintages made on-site such as the 1629, a mix of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Tempranillo, or the sweet Serenade, a mix of Riesling and Gewurztraminer. Calvin hasn't forgotten his love of the arts, though, which was nourished by his studies and playing flamenco guitar in Spain in the '70s; Casa Rondeña has hosted its own Festival de Música Rondeña.

What a wonderful experience!! I took a few friends with me and they were amazed at the beautiful atmosphere and winery grounds. Seriously thinking about becoming a monthly member!!

The location is stunning and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We're looking forward to out of town visitors to have an excuse to go back!
