Sacred PhoenixJ is my artistic life's work. Lomi-Lomi goes far beyond massage, extending to loving touch, the connection we have with the land (‘aina), the spirit guides or ancestors (‘aumakua) and the breath of life (ha). Each cell is blessed to create balance (lokahi). The nervous system is encouraged to slow down, thereby creating the space for techniques to be received rather than pushed through a blockage in the muscle tissues.We see the benefits for many ailments and increased spiritual energy and personal power (mana). The nurturing strokes are relaxing and therapeutic on multiple levels. My techniques are similar to Swedish massage, Eastern massage, range-of-motion work, and deep-tissue techniques. The strokes are done with the hands and forearms and are often long and sweeping. Imagine long, rolling waves traveling along the body. Creating movement in the spine is a primary focus of the Lomi massage. In doing so, we free up the blockages and restore the mind-body connection and elevation of physical and mental pain, exhaustion, digestive issues, and anxiety. Massage on the abdomen is always emphasized in order to help the elimination process and improve the energetic function of the organs. My Shamanic practice style is my gift to my community and myself, small and humble! Lomi Lomi is a spiritual practice in ancient Hawaii practiced by healers to assist in enlightenment ceremonies like the coming of age. Lomi-Lomi is conducted with intention, honor, and prayer. Lomi Lomi is a very intimate experience between practitioner and client. Energy is exchanged and toxins released. There are times when emotions and stored energy come to the surface.
