Better than ever expected. Great service, the suits were a must and made the experience enjoyable. The crew made sure we saw orcas and had a lot of information to share! We didn’t have issues with parking and it was a smooth check in process!

The experience was good overall, we got to see orcas and a humpback. I gave 3 stars because the owner/captain was snippy with my 6 year old son about using the bathroom when he was hesitant to use it (it was new to him, he had never seen a tiny bathroom on a boat before) and also told him to shush when he was singing. They advertise as being kid friendly but I definitely felt on edge the entire time and wouldn’t take my kids with them again.

Hi Emma. Thank you for your review. We’d like to address your concerns.
We begin every tour with a boat introduction and safety briefing. One of the safety items we address is that passengers need to be sitting down while the boat is going fast, which means the restroom can only be used while the boat is slowed down. With this in mind, we ask that if anyone needs to use the bathroom that they do so as soon as the boat slows down instead of waiting until the end of a stop, otherwise everyone has to wait on that person to get back to their seat before we can move forward. On this tour, after the boat had been stopped for over 15 minutes and we were preparing to depart, the child came back to use the restroom. Captain Tyler decided to give him a chance, but after several minutes of him being unsure about the boat bathroom, with everyone on board still waiting to move on with the tour, Tyler politely asked the child to please make a decision about whether or not he was going to use it. We’re sorry if this came across as Tyler being short with your son; that was not his intention. He was simply trying to respect everyone’s time and keep the trip moving along.
Having young children ourselves, we completely understand kid behavior and play. We encourage our young guests to enjoy themselves and love having kids on board! We welcome young adventurers’ enthusiasm and the energy they bring to our exciting tours. In this particular instance, we found ourselves on scene with a pod of orca whales in flat calm, incredibly peaceful water. We had the chance to shut our engines off and drift with the whales, listening to their breaths and taking in the serenity of the moment. When your son started singing, Tyler asked him to quiet down out of respect for everyone on board and in order to preserve the moment. We apologize if that made you or your son feel uncomfortable. This again was not the intention. At Blue Kingdom Tours, we expect our captains and crew to exhibit patience, kindness, and respect towards all passengers.
We hope this helps address your concerns, and we’re happy to hear you had an overall good experience. Take care.
