If Tasty Bakery was a tree house, it would have a sign outside: "No gluten, wheat, or soy allowed." In 2007, owner Julie Rabinovitz was diagnosed with celiac disease, so she had to cut gluten out of her diet entirely. That didn't stop her from baking, however. In 2009, she started Tasty Bakery, where she builds each recipe around organic ingredients while omitting the usual suspects of gluten, wheat, and soy. Julie and her team make every batch of treats by hand, including cookies, cakes, brownies, and granola bars. Many of their products are also vegan, and all of them come wrapped in compostable packaging.
