Though it was developed more than 1,000 years ago in India, threading has found a modern niche due to its eco-friendly reputation and gentle treatment of sensitive skin. Practicing this method for the last 24 years, the trained threaders at Eyebrow MakeOver use a three-step technique to ensure brows flatter each client’s face shape and default emotion. Technicians start by outlining a desired shape for patron approval, then use a thin cotton thread to capture stray hairs at the root, yielding results that are more precise than with waxing and less likely to produce ingrown hairs. Technicians then train their clients in the use of eyebrow products, so brows continue to look full and even between threadings.
