About Bad Dog Distillery

Hank the dog definitely gets into his fair share of trouble, rolling around in the mud, chasing rocks down hills, and refusing to eat any homework. But Dave and Shelly McGlothern love him anyway, so much so that they named their small-batch distillery after their naughty pooch.

The cheekily named Bad Dog Distillery focuses on crafting liquor from locally grown wheat, rye, and corn. Simple and traditional precision has become the distillery's calling card, and it's evident in every sip of whiskey, bourbon, and single malt Bad Dog churns out. Here are a few of the distillery's most popular creations:

  • Bad Dog Whiskey (as seen on the TV series, Shameless) begins with the sweet fragrance of corn mash, which is soon complemented by hints of caramel and toasted oak.

  • Single Barrel Straight Bourbon is a double gold winner. This 2-year aged bourbon is from a single barrel without any blending featuring notes that are slightly fruity with smooth tobacco and a caramel taste.

  • Single Malt Whiskey is a delicate malted whiskey with a hint of orange peel and malt sourced from Skagit Valley Malting.

Had a wonderful time! Dave was very knowledgeable about his craft and all the whiskey had different tastes. We have quite a few favorites but brought home apple pie and american whiskey. We will be back! Would make a great stocking stuffer or gift! They also had some shirts maybe a sweater with their brand on them if you would want them. Thank you Dave and Shelly!
