About Survival Beach

If Tough Mudder were a huge Jimmy Buffet fan, you'd have something close to Survival Beach. The physically and mentally demanding obstacle course offsets the do-or-die attitude of self-serious races with a cheery dose of pirate-themed whimsy. Contestants clamor over and swandive onto inflatable obstacles rather than contending with rough-hewn logs and barbed wire. And at the end of the race, everyone takes a load off at the post-race barbecue.

this race was awful! there were only a few obstacles and one of them collapsed. the company did not honor their promise to send out shirts or medals after they ran out, and they were not interested in any negative feedback.

WORST race ever. Most obstacles were not set up. The answer was "we figured running in the sand was hard enough". One obstacle was deflated. No shirts, no medals. One person "working" one obstacle "helped" my friend over, when she said no thank you, a few times. Once the girl "helped" my friend she had a huge cut on her leg. Not helping!
