Aspen Carriage and Sleigh have been an Aspen tradition for over 50 years. Bryan and Sandy purchased the business 15 years ago with a mission to not only share the majesty of these beautiful creatures with locals and visitors alike but to also rescue and retire draft horses in need. To this day with the help of customers, they have rescued over 25 horses and currently care for the herd of 16 mostly retired equines. All of the horses that guide customers during the rides are rescues. They are the only horse-drawn carriage company in Aspen and offer public and private rides in the winter and summer through downtown Aspen. During the winter they offer 20-minute public sleigh rides and one-hour private rides gliding through forest and field.
