Upon walking into Cellar 56, it's immediately clear how it differs from the other venues located under the Andrews Entertainment District's roof. Stacked nearly up to the ceiling are row upon row of wine bottles nestled against a brick wall with rich hardwood panels.
The wine bar in the heart of Buckhead lets oenophiles discover a global wine list full of pours rated highly by Wine Spectator. Bartenders decant more than 56 boutique bottles that hail from such places as Napa Valley, Tuscany, and Bordeaux. Some, such as the Laurent Perrier brut champagne, taste of fruity bubbles, while others, such as the Slingshot cabernet sauvignon, have smoky notes.
Cellar 56 may be all about the wine, but its food menu is just as curated as its wine list. Made with local, seasonal ingredients, small plates might include shrimp ceviche with crab avocado salad, grilled baby New Zealand lamb chops with blackberry-balsamic glaze, and chocolate-marble-cheesecake s'mores.
