Affordable Air Duct Cleaning, Austin

We called and left a message to schedule an appointment. We were surprised to learn they could come out at 9am the next day, or so we thought. Around 9:30am the next day, we received a call from the tech that his first appointment got cancelled and he could be to our home earlier than our 11am appointment time. This was our first time hearing the appointment was at 11am and not 9am but I was home all day so no big deal. Chris was friendly and offered to take his shoes off when he arrived. I did not receive any kind of system analysis or mold/camera inspection that I was made aware of. Instead, he walked around the home and counted the number of supply vents, return vents, and took a quick look inside of the furnace. All in all this took less than 5 minutes. Then he spent several minutes writing everything up. If we wanted to get all vents cleaned, it would cost $565 in addition to the Groupon cost. This is for a 1,400 sq ft home with one furnace. He presented 2 other options which included cleaning the furnace in addition to all vents ($764 total) or cleaning the AC in addition to the furnace and all vents ($913 total) and asked which of the 3 options we’d like to go with. I told him we would just stick with the Groupon today. He did not push back and had me sign something before getting started. He asked which main line and which return vent I wanted to have cleaned. I asked which ones he suggested. He said any were fine, it didn’t really make a difference which one I chose. I made a selection and he was done in about an hour. He showed me one picture before starting but I saw no after pictures. He asked if I had any questions as he was out the door and then was on his way. Worth it for the price we paid but I’d want to see a more thorough analysis/inspection with after pictures before committing to any further work. Also, I’m glad I printed the Groupon because he asked for a copy even though we were asked for the redemption code when scheduling.

Chris did a great job, he was knowledgable, prompt, and very respectful. He explained the contract breakdown, and finished within his estimated time. We appreciate his efforts!
