Breed and Co., Austin

In 1970, a local family purchased a small hardware store adjacent to The University of Texas campus. Today, more than 40 years later, that small hardware store has two locations and is an Austin institution. In the Spring of 2015, another local family purchased the stores. While they have always been affiliated with Ace Hardware, they officially became Ace Hardware stores. The stores pride themselves on providing remarkable customer service. While hardware is still a big part of the experience, the collection of products now includes a wide array of the finest tableware, kitchenware, garden and seasonal decor you will find anywhere. Both stores have knowledgeable employees who can teach you to do everything from a simple household repair to the fine art of table setting or container gardening.
