Great Room Escape Austin, Austin

Really terrible escape room experience compared to any of the others in the area. The building had no working AC, the room was falling apart, and half the “clues” were broken - old locks that wouldn’t budge, clues that made no sense, etc. The employee had to come in and fix broken locks for us several times and the escape room is so poorly designed the employee by default enters every 15 minutes to help you. Never seen an escape room do that: it’s really, really weird. The guy would just awkwardly stand in the corner and watch us. I really can’t recommend this escape room when there’s so many good ones in Austin. This one feels like an afterthought in this old building meant for axe throwing.

This escape room was interactive and probably the best one our family has ever done… it has been a month and we still talk about the experience…thank you for a wonderful time!

Lots of fun, would go again!

The location is very oddly placed and the parking lot has no lights..red flag #1. We visited on a Saturday at 9p and were literally the only customers in the building..red flag #2. The hostess was very bland and provided so much assistance throughout the experience that I don't feel like we had to do much solving. 😕
