About Whale's Tale Sailing

Born from a love of the ocean and an interest in sharing the wonder of the sea, Whale's Tale Sailing offers tours and experiences designed to give a glimpse into the natural world of California's Central Coast.

  • Midday and Afternoon Sailing with Local Wines and Craft Beers Ecotour: During a relaxing sail along the coast of Avila Beach, this tour offers complimentary local wine (up to 2 glasses), local craft beer, and snacks while the captain gives you an ecological tour of the area's biology and cultural heritage.

  • *Morning Coastal Tour and Wildlife Viewing *: Generally a calm trip, the boat makes its way around the bay, with informative talks on the otters, seals, and search for whales feeding nearby. Fresh brewed coffee and tea with something to nibble on will be provided.

  • Sunset Sail and Wildlife Viewing: Take in the natural surroundings and enjoy a spectacular view on a trip back up the coast, with the boat's bow aimed at the setting sun and wine available on the foredecks.
