JCW Auto Repair Service, Azusa

I had been a loyal and happy JCW customer for 5 years, I took my Ford Explorer to JCW to have brakes replaced & rotors resurfaced on Veterans Day 2022, after having tires checked at La Puente Tires, they said I needed a front-end brake job and showed me wear on rotors that needed resurfacing, they used a gauge to measure rotor thickness and said I had ample thickness on rotors. I took it to JCW, they did brake job and rotor resurface then test drove it afterward. When I left shop I experienced bad tire vibration, JCW said I now needed new rotors and quoted me $400 just for the 2 rotors, more for labor. I took it to La Puente Tires, and they explained and showed me rotor damage caused by JCW resurfacing machine. They put 2 new rotors and labor for $180, less than half the price that JCW was going to charge. I took damaged rotors back to JCW, they kept old rotors but gave no response, no apology nor denial. I was wearing my U.S. Marine Corps cap and jersey, had to forego my planned Veterans Day luncheon reunion with some of my Marine Corps buddies that day. Sad for me to say that I have lost confidence with JCW.

Paid $30 on Groupon, but was charged $23 fees

Always great service here. And there’s a bar a block away with 4 dollar beers while you wait for your car 👍
