The instructors are very safety-focused which is very important for this type of class! My friend and I did the intro to soft apparatus and the intro to hard apparatus! We are considering memberships! The other aerial yoga studio I went to was more yoga-based with stretching whereas this is more circus-based and strength focused. Very organized establishment! We loved it and will be going back!

I have taken a silk clad somewhere else and this place is a nice facility. However, class offerings are limited and Clair is not the greatest instructor. She seemed annoyed that she had to teach immature and wasn’t what I expected compared to the other class I had where they walked you they steps more. They also essentially pass/flunk you at the end which seems weird for an introduction class.

The studio is nice and the classes seem good, but the groupon is not a good deal. There are hardly any classes that they let you use them for and most of those classes are filled up weeks and weeks ahead of time. Not sure how I'm going to use my remaining classes in time because anything that might work with the restrictions and with my (fairly open) schedule is totally full.

A really great workout! Yes, you will be sweating by the end and your arms, core and legs will throb a little but being able to actually follow along is amazing! There is plenty of time to practice and the instructor took the time to correct us throughout the class! Can’t wait to use my remaining three classes!

What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition? Monarca in Flight is Northern Virginia's first studio primarily focused on aerials. Our programs promote, fitness, flexibility, conditioning, and safety to ensure every student's experience is both fun and productive.
Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged? Small class sizes ensure lots of individual attention from the instructors. Positive reinforcement with strong emphasis on technique to build foundations that keep students motivated to push farther and learn more. Periodic showcases offer students the chance to show off what they've learned.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business? Other local businesses offer aerials on the side of their main focus. Monarca in Flight is dedicated to aerials and offers the widest and most comprehensive array of aerials training in the area.
What do you love most about your job? I love watching the interaction between the students and instructors. The classes are kept light and fun, but at the same time a deep trust is built. It's always gratifying to see students reach yet another "Aha!" moment when something clicks.
