As a 2014 Certificate of Excellence winner, Chez Michel Restaurant is run by Michel Masselin, who was trained in renowned French restaurants. He cooked in several of the better restaurants around the world before settling in Ontario. The restaurant is elegant and upscale, reflecting Michel’s culinary journey. French cuisine is expertly prepared using the freshest ingredients. The appetizer menu includes salmon gravlax, escargots, and baked brie, to name a few. The entrée menu offers up a delicious duck confit, filet mignon, fresh salmon, calf liver lyonnaise and several other favorites. The daily specials vary by seasons and availability so be sure to check the website for those. Past specials include braised lamb, whole lobster, and braised rabbit. Chef Michel has quite a good wine cellar with some amazing whites and reds to pair with any dish.
