Fun and something different for the kids!! A lot of activities for kids of all ages!! Like a day at the beach. All sand. Kids loved making castles and rolling in the sand.

I love the quarry pool! I loved that they made my kids take a deep water swim test for safety! I would go again for sure!

This is a great beach to take your kids to. So much to do here. Diving boards, slides and an obstacle in the middle. The beach is clean and you can bring in food and drinks.

We always have a great time at the Quarry but the paddleboat excursion was a bit lame, not being able to go past the pavilion we didn't use our entire time...just paddling around the lagoon was no fun. Later that week we checked our Pottowatamie in St. Charles..$17 for one hour and the paddling range is endless.

From Our Editors

Like at a medieval fortress, a two-story structure made of wood and stone towers over a pool of water. And like the scrap chute that empties into the open mouth of a moat's crocodile, two diving platforms and a water slide deposit swimmers into the main pool at Batavia Park District's Harold Hall Quarry Beach—a 60,000-square-foot swimming hole chiseled into a former stone quarry. Though visitors can always brave the free falls, a zero-depth edge allows for a more leisurely entrance into the water, where guests of all ages swim laps in the lanes, practice slam-dunking on one another under the basketball hoop, show off their diving form on the diving towers, or pull themselves onto a wooden island to sunbathe. On the shore, landlubbers can relax or grab concessions at the picnic area, sunbathe on the sandy beach, or head to the beach-volleyball court to prevent lobstermen from stealing the net.
