About Drive 1 Exotics [RWRE - Mark Ebert/Bill Coady]
With Esteem Exotics, car-fanatics experience the thrill of driving their fantasy cars. Guests here get the chance to drive the choice of their favorite, luxury vehicles, like the Lamborghini Gallardo, McLaren MP4 12C, Ferrari 458, Audi R8 and Lamborghini Huracan. Sitting beside an experienced instructor, who preps them beforehand, they race around a well-designed coned autocross course that focuses on twists and turns rather than top end speed. Drivers will be put to the test for their control and accuracy.

I guess I needed to read the description a little better before buying, because this wasn't at all what I thought it was going to be. Here's my review:
(1) We booked this for April (for my husband's birthday), and due to bad weather, it was postponed 7 months.
(2) We had requested a McLaren. The week before, we got an email saying the McLaren was in the shop, so we could choose a Ferrari (with an extra lap) or a Lamborghini. My husband wanted the Ferrari. When we got there, they had ONE car... the Lamborghini. So in no way were we able to choose what car he was going to drive. They had one car, one instructor, and it didn't matter what time you got there. You had to wait for all the other people ahead of you to go next.
(3) The emails from Exotics Esteem provided tons of great information except for one... where the heck we were supposed to go when we got to the Atlanta Motor Speedway. They gave us a vague map, but no way to know how to get to the actual track. They gave us the name and phone number of a contact person for the day of the event, and she didn't know either. (WTF?) Finally she told us "Speedway Blvd. between turn 1 and 2." We got out, took a photo of the maps that said "You are here" and finally figured it out. Even then, it was difficult to understand how to get to the track. This event takes place INSIDE the Atlanta Motor Speedway track, not ON it.
(4) I guess I needed to do a better job of reading the description. I thought my husband was going to do 4 laps on the Atlanta Motor Speedway in a high performance car. NO. It was a little obstacle course with cones, which was (supposedly) 1 km long. We had bought 4 laps. It literally took my husband 2 minutes to drive the 4 laps. (I know how long it was because I filmed him) The track didn't give him an opportunity to floor it and really go fast (which is what he wanted to do).
Overall, I think it was a LOT of money and effort to drive a Lamborghini for 2 minutes. Having said that, my husband had a blast driving it and loved it. Also, they take lots of pictures of you and they say, "this is included." But if you want the pictures in the cool frame, it's an extra $30. It was just a LOT of add-ons, including insurance and the Go-Pro.
So buyer beware.

This is a “being in car experience”. You drive about 200 yards around a parking lot in a nice car. Passenger with you is constantly telling you to break 50 yards before a turn on a 59 yard straight away. If you do it, try to save money by using your own insurance. No way you can damage the car with tiny cones and a 200 hundred feet of drive off space on corners and it’s an automatic.

Although my husband enjoyed the driving experience, it was more expensive than planned. After paying the Groupon rate there's is a booking fee when scheduling your drive. ($55) We had to purchase the insuran, e which was another $50+. I would say the experience was not worth the price.
