We went to eat brunch at American City Diner, only to find out that the restaurant had recently closed for good. At one time, it was a nice local restaurant.

Can't use the Groupon all at once, have to use in 3 separate visits. Waste of $$ for tourist. Very very small pancakes, had to order 2 sets.

American City Diner is always a fun experience. The train below the ceiling was working. The jukebox was free (for now) and fun to show a 3-1/2 year old. Food is good old-fashioned diner fare. They often have Groupons.

It was not a deal. There was no discount and I even paid more.
It's not true that it was for 3 vouchers.

Service was good. I thought the food was good until I started feeling sick on the way home. I was fortunate to get in my door in time.

It has the vibe of an old diner. The service was good and the staff was attentive. Even though it was outdated it was clean. The food was just okay I ordered a Phillycheese steak and it was served on a hotdog bun, I couldn't even pick it up to eat it. The milkshakes didn't have much flavor. I wasn't aware that I couldn't use all my vouchers at once, that's unfortunate because I don't think I want to return.

Prompt, very attentive service makes the several experiences I have had here especially memorable. The omelettes with smoking hot home fries straight from the griddle are truly satisfying . The breakfast sandwiches are good and great value.
Turkey burgers are okay, but I would probably not have one in the future. The bacon cheese burgers are messy ( the "5 Napkin " sort) served with about a pint of crunchy cole slaw are delicious- half a pound of ground beef!! Come hungry!!
