What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition? Quick Fit Indiana is the only High Intensity Strength and Cardio studio in Bloomington. All of our workouts are just 20 minutes. You can get fit in under 1 hour per week. Our strength sessions are completely private. You are one on one with the trainer. The strength sessions/resistance training also take place using the most advanced isokinetic machines on the planet. There are not plates or weights that will drop or slam. You can go all out to the best of your abilities and you will not get injured. Your trainer will guide you through proper mechanics of the resistance exercise as well as proper breathing and concentration. At the end of the 20-minute strength sessions, your muscles will be obviously fatigued to the point where you don’t want to do any more. It’s a fantastic realization knowing that you can be done training in just 20 minutes. Our small group cardio classes are also just 20 minutes. Again, you are using state of the art cardio equipment that provide a high benefit to your heart and overall health but minimal damage to your joints. There are no awkward movements and the semi-private classes allow you to focus more on your work than who’s working out around you.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business? The inspiration to start the business comes from a few sources. I am a busy professional. I don’t have 6 hours per week to spend in the gym. I need something effective but time efficient. 2, my wife would never go to the gym and ‘lift weights’. She doesn’t know how to lift weights properly, she doesn’t like people watching her exercise and she’s intimidated by other ‘fit’ people around her. Quick Fit Indiana solves both of those issues. With trainer led sessions, these workouts are highly effective, efficient, and very safe. I also work with baby boomers in my profession. I see a lot of people come in with weaker bones and muscles. The only way to reverse this is with resistance training. The final piece comes from another member of my family. My son is a teenage athlete. I wanted him spending more time on the field practicing. Quick Fit gives him the strength he needs to build in the gym and frees up the extra time for him to focus on his craft. Quick Fit Indiana is great for all fitness levels and abilities.
What do you love most about your job? I love watching someone go through their first Quick Fit Indiana workout. Everyone comes in with that thought in the back of their mind, ‘yeah right, a 20-minute workout?’ When they are done, every single person is amazed about how they feel in such a short amount of time. It’s great to see.
What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer? The best reactions have come from multiple people. Often, someone walks out of their first Quick Fit Indiana workout and within a week or two, they have brought in their family, friends and co-workers. It’s that amazing!
