Long island teas were a little light on flavor.

Service was slow and food was sub par despite it not being busy at all. We waited forever for the fried fish and it was mainly batter and grease. Not sure if I would give this place a second try.

Food was great, server was excellent however the kitchen was insanely slow and apparently having a bad day.. they forgot to send out our appetizer and took 35 min to make our dessert.

Lovely food at reasonable price. We ordered by strip steak and beef medallion. Both were cooked to perfection in medium rare. Servers were friendly.

The service was pretty slow for an evening that wasn't very busy. Food came out very oddly. One person received their order and then, more food came, later. One person had to wait even longer as his order was forgotten. Not real impressed. The food was okay.

Food was good. Good atmosphere. Service a bit “laid back “. Not especially fast service but we weren’t in a hurry.

From Our Editors

Poor Richard's Commonhouse bills itself as an "American-themed" restaurant. So just how does a place honor the USA—besides serving up burgers, meatloaf, and waffle fries, that is? By embodying the spirit of the old colonial taverns that inspired its name, of course. These early American taverns were centers of the community just like Poor Richard's Commonhouse, where locals frequently swing by to share brews and conversation. Though they'll have a hard time getting a word in once the food arrives.

While its spirit may embody 1776, Poor Richard's chefs aren't afraid to break new ground when it comes to their food. Take the Captain Chicken Fingers as an example. For this dish, chefs coat hand-cut chicken strips in Cap'n Crunch cereal before frying them to a golden brown. Other favorites include the parmesan-crusted walleye and flatbread topped with roasted chicken, peppers, and Thai peanut sauce.
