Rukavina Photography, Boerne

For Linda Rukavina, photography has been a lifelong obsession. She started out as fine-art major in college but found that her talents and passion were pointing her toward the viewfinder. After the younger of her two daughters was born in 2006, Rukavina started earning a living doing what she loves most: capturing the precious moments in a family’s timeline. Her passion for art still informs her work, helping her to select just the right lighting and background for every shot. She chronicles the unique history of each group of loved ones, from engagements and weddings to newborns and high-school seniors. She also creates professional headshots, pictures of pets, and headshots for pets who star in canned-food commercials.

To further develop her skills, Rukavina spent a week in Atlanta being tested on her knowledge of photography by industry leaders from across the country and earned the title of Boerne's only PPA-certified professional photographer. Her hard work and dedication has paid off: she earned the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce's Businesswoman of the Year award, and her studio was nominated for the Business of the Year award in 2012.
