About Boston Christmas Festival

For more than 25 years, craft artists have gathered at the Boston Christmas Festival to showcase their handmade items just in time for the holiday season. The award-winning exhibition features more than 350 American artisans, who make everything from folk art and pottery to jewelry and clothing. Along with gifts for everyone on your list, the festival features a farmer's market aisle and plenty of holiday decorations, including tapestry stockings and seashell ornaments.

While vendors serve up gourmet bites, the sweet aromas of honey, ginger, and other spices waft from the gingerbread house competition, where top area chefs showcase their fanciest edible constructions for a celebrity panel. Proceeds from the competition benefit Housing Families, a nonprofit that helps house Massachusetts' homeless and very low-income families.

TIPS: Wear comfortable shoes…floors are concrete. Leave your coat behind. There is no cost check! Bring your own beverage….a bottle of water is a total rip off at $3.00 a bottle A fun event to attend. LOTS OF VENDORS, but there are MANY duplicate items for sale from multiple vendors. Very festive feeling. I will be returning!

it got crowed around noon but with the purchase of early ticket no real problem getting in.

Not what we expected. Just a craft show

I was not impressed. I have been to other Christmas festivals and there was a Christmas atmosphere and decor. Which I assumed it would be from the picture shown of the event in Groupon but this one did not have much is terms of atmosphere. The trees that were decorates in the front when you walked in were poorly decorated. I did not think there was enough homemade craft vendors offered.
